I've been avoiding the news due to my overwhelming anxiety, BUT one of my comfort shows is "The Great British Baking Show." I never thought a contestant's departure from a reality TV show would make me cry but I absolutely ADORED Nelly. I immediately followed her on Instagram because I need more Nelly in my life. (BTW I have already voted—as a Californian, I know my vote is fairly irrelevant, but both of my Michigan-voter parents have cast their ballots for Kamala. Frankly, I think the pissed-off, Trump-hating elderly women of America, including my mom, are going to be a powerful force this time around.)

"HEALTHCARE: Both Donald Trump and the current Speaker of the House have stated that they want to get rid of the Affordable Care Act. To be clear about what that means — it means repealing the legislation that banned insurance companies from refusing you care because of pre-existing conditions. So when Trump repeals it — if you have asthma, or diabetes, or depression, or any one of a zillion other conditions — you can be refused health insurance. It’s so important to me that we do everything we can to make sure that doesn’t happen."
My teeth are fine and my dentist is a little bit scared of ME now, so win-win.
And thank you so much for highlighting that. I feel like in all the...theatrics...sometimes we miss the things that feel more mundane that will be taken away.
Had a (likely to become a former-) friend tirade about geno-BOTH-cide supporters; I didn't bother to reply (no point, won't change mind), but I did think, "One only supports (for now, could change), while the other has stated he will COMMIT upon fellow citizens." Still hoping, but I've made no plans for Wednesday+, other than staying inside. Thank you for being a nice humans who shares nice pictures of other nouns (bridges, dogs, dogs on bridges, etc)
